My name is Dr. Christopher Granger, and I am honored to be the Superintendent in the Blaine School District. In my educational career, I have taught Biology, Health, and Sports Medicine. I have also been an athletic trainer, assistant athletic director, assistant principal, principal, and director of instruction/assistant superintendent. I have a wonderful wife, Tai, who has been an instructional aide as well as a culinary arts teacher. We have four wonderful children.

I am committed to partnering with families and community members to continually improve our schools. I will continue to work hard for each student each day with a robust academic offering and hands on experiences to help make Blaine the best place in Washington for our students to get a well-rounded education that prepares them to be college, career, and citizenship ready.

Parents and community members are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns for this open dialogue opportunity in a townhall format which takes place several times during the school year. Upcoming dates are provided on my weekly newsletter as well as on the school calendar.

In addition to answering your questions, I will periodically use this time to share information about imporant issues impacting our school district. Recently, the topics I've addressed include:

• Information about the district's proposed replacement EP&O Levy and capital bond.

• Budget reduction considerations for the 2024-2025 school year.
