BSD School Closure November 16, 2021
I want to begin by thanking the staff of our school district for being flexible and meeting the needs of our students today. From bus drivers, food service staff, office personnel, teachers and administrators everyone had a part in safely returning students home amidst challenging circumstances today. I also want to thank our students and families for working with us today. We understand the complications an early closure causes for many.
We have continued to monitor the rapidly changing inclement weather conditions around our district. While some areas have begun to recede there are still a number of areas in the district that cause concern around school travel for tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, school will be cancelled tomorrow, Tuesday, November 16th. While we did give consideration to a remote learning day, the potential challenges with electricity in some areas led us to the decision to cancel all school activities, including extra curricular, for tomorrow. Please continue to monitor the district’s app notifications, website, and social media for updates regarding school operations for Wednesday November 17.
