Schedule Reminder: Late Start (10:20am) on Monday, February 25
FYI
If a student is part of our Free or Reduced program (about 1/2 of our students), they are able to eat breakfast for FREE. Lunches are either FREE or $.40 depending on F or R. Today's breakfast was eggs and hashbrowns. An entire month menu for March will be posted to our website soon.
As of now, 100 of 517 kids eat breakfast at our school. We want to make sure that ALL kids are getting breakfast each morning. At BMS we value nutrition. We hope to impact our students by what they put into their bodies for fuel.
Schedule Reminder: No School on February 15 (Mid-Winter Break) and February 18 (President's Day)
Blaine School District is cancelling school on Thursday, February 14. Our maintenance and grounds staff have done an incredible job of removing 12-14 inches of snow off of campus parking lots and sidewalks over the past three days. We also greatly appreciate the efforts of both the City of Blaine and Whatcom County road clearing crews. However, there remains too much compact snow and ice across many areas of the District to be able to run our busses safely, especially on secondary roads. Once school resumes next week, we will start the process of determining the impact of this extended storm on the school calendar. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.
Due to ongoing winter weather conditions, all schools will again be closed on Wednesday, February 13. All campus activities are also cancelled.
All schools will again be closed on Tuesday, February 12, due to continuing winter weather conditions. Also, all campus activities are cancelled.
