Community Message Nov. 10th

Dear students, staff, families and community,

As this week winds down we wanted to extend a few thank you’s. First, we would like to thank all of the families and teachers who had the opportunity to connect this week for conferences in grade K-8. Partnership with our students and their families is important to meeting the needs of each student in our district. Time is valuable and we appreciate you taking the time to meet with us.

We would also like to thank all of those in our community who have served our country in the Armed Forces. I personally am incredibly grateful for their service to our nation.

EMAIL/PHONE SERVICE INTERRUPTION

On Tuesday morning of this week we have a period of time in the morning through approximately 10:45 am when emails were not being delivered. If you happened to send communication to a district staff member we recommend resending the email or reaching out to them directly.

In addition, due to recent storm damage we are currently unable to make long distance calls from district landlines. The provider is working on a resolution but at this  time, does not have an estimated repair date.

SUPPORTING BLAINE FOOD BANK

The district will be holding its annual “Blaine Gives Back” campaign to support the Blaine Food Bank next week, November 14th-18th. Our coin drive and monetary donation collection will coincide with student food drives across the district, so we can make the biggest impact possible to help our community members experiencing food insecurity.

Students, staff and visitors can watch for our orange coin collection buckets in offices around the district, as well as food collection information from their campuses. On Monday students in grades K-5 will be bringing home grocery bags for food collection, along with a list of suggested donation items.

Donations can also be made directly to Blaine Food Bank online at their website www.blainefoodbank.org. Please add a note “Blaine Gives Back”, so we can help our students track their efforts. We look forward to all coming together to give back.
