Community Message

Good evening students, staff, families and community,

Welcome to the new calendar year! I hope you all enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating Winter Break.

SUPPER WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT

In January I will be hosting two Supper with the Superintendent events. The first is this coming Wednesday, January 11th at Birch Bay Bible Community Church at 6 PM. Then on Tuesday, January 17th at 6 PM we will take the event to Pt. Roberts, inviting the community there to visit the Primary School, and join us for supper and conversation. If you haven’t yet joined me at one of these events, the New Year would be a great time to try something new. Come with your curiosity and get your questions answered.

SCHOOL BOARD VOLUNTEER NEEDED

The Blaine School District Board of Directors is currently seeking interested candidates for a vacant board position. The new director will serve until the next local election in November of 2023. At that time, the appointed director (and any other interested candidates) may run for the next four-year term. Any resident of Director District 1, who is a US citizen and registered voter, may submit a letter of interest for this vacancy. The letter should be addressed to the Board of Directors and should describe the candidate’s interest in serving on the board, including any prior experience, qualifying factors and their goals as a potential board member. Letters of interest can be submitted by email to comments@blainesd.org or in hard copy to Blaine School District at 765 H Street; Blaine, WA 98230. I hope you will consider this opportunity to become involved in our school community.
