2024-2025 CHROMEBOOK DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE:

As your student prepares to return to school, they will need a district-issued Chromebook. The Technology Department will be conducting drive-thru Chromebook distribution on the dates listed below, located at the Technology Office. No set appointment times. Families can come anytime during the set time windows listed below. Scroll down to see the image for location.

• August 19-22: ONLY students in Grades 2-12 who were registered by June 30 (including HomeConnection)

  • 9:00am-1:00pm & 5:00-7:00pm
    

• August 23: ALL registered students in Grades 2-12

  • 9:00-11:30am & 1:00-2:30pm
    

• August 26: All registered students in Grades 2-12

  • 9:00-11:30am & 1:00-2:30pm
    

• Starting August 29: BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

  • Walk-in appointments are not accepted.

  • A link to schedule appointments will be posted on this page after August 26.

  • Appointment times are limited and will be available Mondays-Thursdays between 8:30am-12:00pm & 1:00-2:30pm and on Fridays between 8:30am-12:00pm.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• A parent or guardian must pick up student devices.

• Students will need a district-issued Chromebook to access specific school content.

• Chromebooks for students in kindergarten and 1st grade will be provided in the classroom.

• Chromebooks are not issued to full-time Running Start students or to full-time BTC IMPACT! or Discovery students.

• Please review the Chromebook Use Expectations together with your student.

Your student will be issued a Chromebook after the following criteria have been met:

1. After registering for school.

2. A parent or guardian must complete and sign the Chromebook checkout agreement form when you pick up your student’s device.

• Logging in: Open a new browsing window. Visit www.google.com and locate the sign in button at the top right corner.

• Username: your student’s login is their first.lastname@stu.blainesd.org (no paces). Example~ harry.potter@stu.blainesd.org

• Passwords:
  K-5: Due to our software conversion passwords had to be changed. Information about passwords will be provided in the classroom.

  
  6-12: Blaine# + Student PIN. Example: Blaine#1234 (students receive their PIN in person from their teacher or school librarian)

• Go to https://classroom.google.com/ and your student should have an invitation to join.

• Please make sure you are logged into your child’s Google account to access this

• If you don’t see an invitation, your child’s teacher can give you an access code directly.
