Community Message May 13th

Good evening students, staff, families and community,

Student Recognition

Despite the rain and wind that persisted during yesterday’s District Golf match, our Borderites have plenty to celebrate. The boys team is sending three student athletes to Bi-Districts next week; Carson Sothy placed 6th and Uno Nevarez and Jonathan Morris both qualified for Bi-Districts. As a team, the girls came away District Champions with the following players placing and moving on to Bi-Districts next week; Ellie Tanjuaquio 1st, Krystin Kamrath 4th, Hailey Larsson 5th , Hailey Pike 6th and Kijah Van Rijswijck 7th.

As I prepare this message for delivery to you this afternoon, our track and field athletes are participating in the District event hosted by Lynden Christian.

Following a big win over LC last week, the Borderite baseball team will be playing in the District tournament tomorrow for an opportunity to advance in their season.

Best of luck to all the student athletes competing this weekend and next week. Go Borderites!

National Nurses Week

This week is National Nurses Week, and we are fortunate to have some of the very best nurses on our campus caring for our students everyday. In addition, our nurses are supported by a wonderful group of assistants that make up our health care team. We are grateful for all of them and the care they put into everything they do.

School Communication Recognition

Communicating with our community and staff is an important way to remain connected to the happenings of the district. Today is National School Communicators Day, and we appreciate our communications director Lisa Moeller for all she does on behalf of our district and its families.
