Good evening students, staff, families and community,
We have officially made it to December! Meteorologists are predicting more possible snow in our area tonight, so if you’re out and about please use caution.
AUTOMATED PHONE CALLS
We received feedback from a handful of people who said they did not receive the automated phone call earlier this week regarding the weather related late start. We are currently working with our software vendor to determine what happened. We are also still collecting data to provide them as they work through the issue. If you did not receive the phone call you can email pr@blainesd.org and provide your name, your student name (if a parent or guardian) and the phone number that should have received the call. With winter upon us, we want to get this resolved as quickly as possible and appreciate your help.
BORDERITE ATHLETICS
Winter sports are in full swing around the district. Our Athletic Director Coach Kok has been actively updating our athletics website, www.goborderites.com, as well as the new social media channels for athletics on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Be sure to follow along for all the latest information about these extra curricular activities.
THERE IS MUSIC IN THE AIR
Our student musicians are busy spreading joy through music this month. Tomorrow, Saturday, December 3rd, some of our musicians will be sharing that joy during the Holiday Harbor Lights Festival in Blaine. You can find our carolers at the Jingle Bell Run at Lincoln Park at 1:30, the Christmas Bazaar downtown at 3 PM, then at the tree lighting at G Street Plaza between 4 and 5 PM. Additionally, our high school musicians will perform in the PAC on Thursday, December 8th at 7 PM, while the middle school performance will be Tuesday, December 13th at 7 PM.
UPCOMING DATES

It’s a great night to be a Borderite, and as always, a great night to be your superintendent.

Dr. Christopher Granger
