Good afternoon students, staff, families and community,
Student Recognition
This was a big week for many students at Blaine High School. Ten student athletes were recognized during a signing day event, because they will be moving on to compete at the collegiate level and pursue their education. We’ll be highlighting each student over the next few weeks, so watch for that on our social media channels. BHS also held its annual recognition night, where students were recognized for academic excellence and perseverance, and local scholarships were awarded to several seniors.
In athletics news, Borderite golfers Kijah Van Rijswijck and Carson Sothy will compete in the state tournament in Spokane this weekend. Borderite Fastpitch won their first game at Janicki Fields in Sedro Woolley in the bi district tournament this morning and are playing Mt. Baker in game two right now. Go Borderites!
Evening of the Arts is Back
We would like to cordially invite you to the return of Evening of the Arts! The visual art displays will be juried by 4 local artists. Many works of art in a variety of media will receive awards, and performances by the Choir, Band, and Drama students promise to entertain! This will be a wonderful celebration of the art, band, choir and drama students, and you don’t want to miss it. Thursday, June 2, 6:30-9:30, in the BHS Cafeteria and Orange and Black Box Theater.
